Hi! I’m Riza and my passion is Sugar…

First of all…….. To our dear customers and friends,

Thank you for the support extended to SugarlyNice during the past ten years.  It has definitely been a super great ride !

Indeed, it has been a pleasure to have played a small role in your celebrations, creating cakes for your weddings, birthdays, engagements, anniversaries,… and more.

I have chosen not to take any more cake orders but to concentrate on sharing my passion with you, under the banner SugarlyNice, with immediate effect.

I am proud to announce that SugarlyNice is now venturing exclusively into Cake Decorating & Sugarcraft training, workshops and associated event management.

Now……. Let me tell a tiny bit about myself.  

I graduated with a Cake Decorating Diploma from BITC (Baking Industry Training Centre, Singapore) in 2002.  Thereafter, I started my cake business, which at that time, fondant cakes are a rarity in Singapore.  However, with passion and determination, I continue my love in fondant cake decorating, creating one unique cake after another.  By trial and error, I finally succeeded in creating my very own halal fondant which can last very long in our sunny and humid Singapore.  In fact some of my fondant cakes have traveled to Australia and India by air, Indonesia by sea and Malaysia by land.  For the next 8 years, SugarlyNice continue to create more and more beautiful cakes.  

In 2010, I went to Chicago, Illinois to learn more on the American style of cake decorating from the prestigious Wilton School of Cake Decorating.  I completed the Wilton Master Class Diploma in Cake Decorating, and additionally earned four other specialist Diplomas in Sugarpaste Flowers, Fondant Modelling, Sugar Artistry and Isomalt (Dehydrated sugar).

In March 2011, I entered the Squires Kitchen Cake Decorating Competition, held in Farnham, United Kingdom.  I didn’t know what to expect since this was my first ever attempt entering a cake decorating competition.  When my creation was awarded Highly Commended, by the international judges, I was speechless!
